Fire Eagle landed !
Posted by shamir - 12/03/08 at 10:03:09 pm
Have you heard about the launch of FireEagle last week - an announcement was made during eTech by Tom Coates. It’s just a private only and you will need an invitation in order to review this new service. You may want to view the video embedded on Next.
What’s the hell is that ? Fire Eagle is an open location services platform offering web, mobile, and desktop developers a smart way to build new location-based apps. The service ensures that consumers have complete control over their data. It’s totally free to use.
The application gallery is empty but we should be able to show off our location on our blog with a Fire Eagle badge, Facebook etc. This beta private round is a good opportunity to let developers play with the new set of public APIs. It’s definetely too early to judge the system but it looks very promising..
I’ve already shared all my invitations. So, no need to contact me directly if you are interested to ride a fire eagle.
Well, you may want to view Tom’s presentation - here we go :
